WELCOME FROM THE PRESIDENT

GPCAPT Geoff Robinson NSC AMMA PRESIDENT

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 2021 AMMA Conference. AMMA will turn 30 this year and we are excited to have you celebrate with us.

2020 was a challenging year for us all and I would like to thank you for your loyalty and continued support in making the 2020 AMMA Virtual Conference a success.

In 2019, we had over 500+ attendees at the conference. We hope that 2021 will be another remarkable year for AMMA. With the exception of 2020, in the last few years we have seen a significant increase in delegate numbers and engagement. We are keen to reunite with many of our long-term sponsors, exhibitors, and delegates as well as welcoming new ones to our conference in Melbourne.

Melbourne’s charm is characterised by its enchanting laneways, stunning waterfront precincts and trendy neighbourhoods, and provides an endless choice of shopping hot spots and culturally diverse, award-winning restaurants, cafés and bars in weird and wonderful locations. There are plenty of things to do in Melbourne. Easily navigated on foot, the city’s confidence and success are infectious, whether closing a deal or relaxing with colleagues and new friends, Melbourne is the perfect destination.

We look forward to seeing you to Melbourne.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the AMMA Council is adopting a wait and see approach until July 2020 to make a final decision on whether the annual AMMA Conference will go ahead as planned.

The Conference theme for 2020, Before the Next Mission | Preparing for Conflict and Disaster has never been more appropriate, and we are very excited to take a deeper look into the experiences of the AMMA members and community of health professionals.

To give AMMA members every opportunity to gather and meet at the annual conference, a decision has been made to move the conference dates to later in 2020.

The new dates are: 25-28 November 2020.

The call for abstracts is currently open, and we encourage you to make a submission to the program. We are extending the deadline to 1 July 2020.

Click here to submit your abstract.

We hope that we will be able to meet and catch up in November 2020.
