The Association have a number of new initiatives that are available to members, and we draw your attention to them and ask for your response and support.
AMMA Conference
The Annual AMMA Conference will take place on the Gold Coast from 29th October to 1st November 2009.
For the first time, AMMA have combined with Controversies in Civilian and Military Trauma, (AMMA/CCMT), and we know this will guarantee a varied and interesting conference for all members.

AMMA Annual General Meeting
Members are advised that the Annual General Meeting of AMMA will be held at the Gold Coast Convention Centre on Saturday 31 October 2009, at 1615.

We are now able to offer members the ability to renew their membership online and update their personal details. Members have been sent AMMA Renewals via email to the address we have on file. ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION
The Australian Military Medicine Association, established in May 1991 is
an independent, professional scientific organisation of medical and allied
health professionals with the objectives of:
· Promoting the study of military medicine
· Bringing together those with an interest in military medicine
· Disseminating knowledge of military medicine
· Publishing and distributing a journal in military medicine
· Promoting research in military medicine
Membership of the Association is open to doctors, dentists, nurses,
pharmacists, paramedics, human factors specialists, psychologists, psychiatrists
and anyone with a professional interest in any of the disciplines of
military health. The Association is totally independent of the Australian
Defence Force, however there are strong connections with the Australian
Defence Force Health Services Branch.
The Association reflects and encourages the broad spectrum of health
that contributes to the fascinating and vital discipline of military
medicine.
